In today’s age of streaming and digital media content it has become imperative to integrate a home network with today’s audio/video systems. AH Install can create a wired and or wireless home network to take full advantage of all the great content available on the internet.
Data and Communications Infrastructure
We use structured wire standards in our new home and remodel jobs to ensure that your home is future proof. Structured wiring provides the hard wiring necessary to accommodate television, data/communications and voice. In addition to the structured cable we can also run fiber optic cable, a medium of data transmission that will become the standard sometime in the near future.
All of our wiring installations are done using a home run infrastructure. This means that each room/location is independently wired, creating a system that can be easily repaired when a component becomes inoperable. Even if one part of the system goes down, the rest of the system will remain operational and the malfunctioning part of the system can be easily identified and repaired.
We always test and verify the performance of all of our cabling that we install. On a new home or remodel we will test each cable to verify it’s performance before the walls go up so that if there is a defective or damaged cable it can be replaced easily. With our state of the art testing equipment we can ensure that your system will pass 10mb, 100mb or gigabit standards for data transmission.
By consolidating all of the television, data/communications and voice into one central location it makes servicing these systems much easier. It also eliminates unnecessary clutter in your living space by hiding and tucking away your modem, router and other equipment associated with your network and data/communications infrastructure.
HDTV Installations
AH Install can install your TV on the wall, in a cabinet or over your fireplace and make it look good. Unlike our competitors we will install electrical outlets behind the TV and conceal the wires, either through the walls or other custom methods of concealment. We use built in surge protectors to protect your investment from over voltages and lightning strikes. If we need to open up the walls to run the wires, that’s no problem, AH Install will patch and texture any holes created to run wiring leaving only the need for touch up paint work after we are done.
Don’t want your TV to stick out from the wall? AH Install has partnerships with builders so that we can reframe a wall to recess the TV or even just the TV mount to give a clean un-obtrusive look. With new super slim TV technologies we can install a TV on the wall with a recessed enclosure creating a profile of less than 2” of the wall! That’s slimmer than some picture frames.
We know how to make your TV look good. All TV’s come out of the factory in “torch mode,” contrast and brightness maxed out. We use calibration discs to set your TV to the optimal settings for color, brightness, contrast and sharpness. AH Install takes your specific viewing conditions into consideration when selecting your TV to make sure that we maximize your viewing experience.
Ultimate Control
When we install a complex AV system we know that the majority of our clients aren’t tech nerds like we are. That’s why with all of our systems we always recommend a universal remote control. Although they can be pricey, the real value of the universal remote control is in their simplicity. We can take a system that uses 7 different remote controls and takes 20 button presses to get it to work, to a single remote control and a single push of a button.
We specialize in customizing complex AV systems so that they are “grandma proof.” This means that anyone can walk into the living room, pick up the remote and watch TV without having to call in the expert. We have a wide range of remote controls that we provide, from touch screen LCD’s to simple “wand style” hard button remotes. AH Install will assess the typical user of the system and select an appropriate remote to accommodate each individual user requirement.
Invisible Theaters
AH Install understands that not every living room can be dominated by a home theater system. We know that not everyone likes to show off their giant floorstanding speakers and monstrous big screen TVs. That’s why at AH Install we emphasize integrating AV systems with your home décor. A big part of our business is built in speaker systems and concealed TVs. We do our best to get fantastic sound without dominating a living space with giant bulky speakers. Our showroom based in Palo Alto is a reflection of our philosophy for installations that disappear. AH Install is always open to working with interior decorators to find a way to integrate AV with a nice living space.
